PAT TestingHelping local musicians & DJs comply with HSE safety laws. When PAT testing will apply to you: Every time you play at a public venue using any mains powered equipment, then it must be PAT tested - PAT means Portable Apliance Testing. It is a legal requirement. If you do not have it done, then the venue management have the right to turn you away! It must be done frequently, but usually at least once per year. We set up a log book of all your equipment and attach green 'Passed' labels on each piece of equipment tested. Items which must be tested are: Anything which plugs into the mains. This includes Amplifiers, PA Systems, Keyboards (just the power supply unit), Effects Pedal Power Supplies, Fans, Lighting Rigs, 13A Mains Extension Boards, AC Mains leads (kettle leads). Basically, anything with a 13A plug attached or carries 240VAC mains within it! Cost: We charge £2.00 per item with a minimum charge of £10 to cover set-up time. You can pay by debit/credit card or cash. We do not except cheques any more, sorry. Location: Chineham, Basingstoke, RG24 8GB.
